(Ateneo Algae Team)

Last January 8, 2010 the Ateneo Algae team met and discussed the development of the Ateneo Algae Center and the oppurtunities that this cener would bring to Ateneo de Manila University, Alsons Aquaculture and the Philippines.

With groundbreaking results from Ateneo's research in artifical growth of Algae through LED Photobioreactors spearheaded by MS Students Lea Macaraig and Gilbert Peren, Ateneo and her partners are positioning the Ateneo Algae Center to become "The Center" of Alage research for biomass, feedstock, pharmaceuticals and oil.
